learn more about my character, ollie!

Ollie is one of the main characters in my story, Dedicated to The Kidz I Fought. Ollie has just recently moved into Crested Butte, Colorado from New York with his mum, Gianna, his older, adopted sister Victoria, his dog, Beav, & Victoria's evil calico cat, Thor. Although he's was initially apprehensive to make such a big change, he takes this change as an opportunity to make new friends & meet all the new people in his new school & town!

It's the beginning of the Fall 2008 school year, & Ollie is starting the 7th grade at Crested Butte Community School. He's greeted with lots of curiosity, confused why someone would move all the way to this quiet, mountain town. Ollie being more than thrilled to describe his life back in New York & what it was like to all his new classmates.

Though he notices another kid in his class who seems to keep to themselves, Erin. Determined to try & make a good impression to everyone, he approaches them. After getting to know them a little more, & intrigued by their voluntary reclusion, insists to hang around & provide them with some well needed company--much to their dismay.

Although he gets along with pretty much anybody, he seems to prefer sticking with those who either prefer being on their own or struggle to find their own crowd. So with Erin & eventually Willow & Brooke, he feels like he's found his crowd. Them reminding him of the friends he had back home. Plus it helps his mom approves of them.
