erin's page

Erin is one of the main characters in my story
"Dedicated to The Kidz I Fought". As the Fall 2008 school year comes back around, they're wanting to
make a drastic change to what it means to be "them". Who needs
friends? People to talk to? Books, music, & getting work done, & going
back home is just much more appealing.
Though, there's a new family in town--the Coppola's--coming all the
way from New York! The youngest,
Ollie Coppola,
is in Erin's class! He's keen on getting to know everyone, even the
loner Erin--MUCH to their dismay.
More about Erin, it's pretty apparent people are not their niche.
Although they've tried to make friends, in their own way. It either
falls flat & people are turned off by their efforts, or they're
interested in the wrong people--driving Erin to feel discouraged. As a
result, they prefer to stick to what they're good at, which is their
studies, reading, photography, or just listening to music.
Though they're not entirely alone, having a guardain who cares a lot
about them,
Thomas.
Although they appreciate it & know he wants them to make friends, they
internalize it & think it's something innate about them that's
inherently unlikeable.
