Brooke is one of the main characters in my story, Dedicated to The Kidz I Fought. As the Fall 2008 school comes around once more, Brooke is prepared for another, standard school year. Merely happy to have access to the school library again & getting outside the house.
Though when she enters her class, there's a murmur of a new kid joining their class. Ollie Coppola waltzed into their class & he's immediately the center of attention. Although Brooke thought he was sweet, she kept her distance. Prefering to stay out of the spotlight.
Though as the first week goes by, Ollie--dragging Erin along--introduces himself to Brooke & tries to get to know her. She's more than happy to talk to him & Erin, & tells Willow about it later--never really having the best experience making friends. Though Willow is initially apprehensive, & although Brooke tries to ease her worries. Willow has never been the type of person to listen.
Much to Brooke's horror, Willow almost goes through with beating the shit out of Ollie--so Erin & Brooke intervene before Ollie got grinded into mush. & after Ollie talks to Willow for longer than a second, Willow is totally won over by him & excited someone wants to be friends with Brooke. Brooke is...not surprised, but incredibly apologetic.
& as Willow pushes herself in their little group, Brooke is thrown into her first friends group where she wasn't just...inserted in. Not to mention rekindling the familial & friendly relationship with Erin, Brooke feels...a little off about such a drastic change to her everyday normal, but maybe this will be a good change.
